Students
In our practice, we believe it is important to properly train future midwives. For this reason, we allow midwifery students to do an internship at our practice a few times a year. We will always ask if you have any objections to the presence of a student. So feel free to indicate this! From October 9th to January 7th, Quirine Bahma will be doing her final internship with us. She would like to introduce herself to you.
Dear (expecting) parents,
I am Quirine, and I am in the fourth year of the midwifery program. For the next 13 weeks (October 9th - January 7th), I will be completing my final internship at Verloskundigenpraktijk Westerkade. During this period, I hope to get to know you during consultations and assist you during your delivery or postpartum period alongside the midwives of Westerkade.
I am 26 years old and was born and raised in Utrecht. Before pursuing midwifery, I studied biology at Utrecht University. It was during this time that my interest and fascination with midwifery developed, and I realized that I missed the human connection within my studies. As a result, I made the transition to midwifery, and I feel at home in this field. In my free time, I enjoy being in nature, in the sun, or spending time with friends. I also love being on the tennis court and going for a run!
I look forward to getting to know you all, so hopefully, see you soon!
Best regards, Quirine Bahma
